Personally, one of the most meaningful projects of mine: illustrated books of my poetry: The Cracks and The Blossoming Sky. It was a true inner journey and creative process with many techniques involved. Starting from... writing the poems of course (but it was years before), translating them to English and visualizing in my own way: through taking photography, printing and photocopying, hand drawing and painting, paper ripping to finally scanning ready images and working on their details and composition digitally.
The exhibition of my fold-out books was accompanied by meter-long posters that are enlargements of their illustrations.
Skills needed:
- Taking photographs
- Hand drawing and painting with the use of charcoal, color pencils and watercolors
- Photography and collage editing (Adobe Photoshop)
